This hotel was in a great location, easily accessible to the subway, Times Square, lots of restaurants, broadway, etc. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean and well kept. There was a bar and restaurant with surprisingly really good food and they even have room service available 24/7 from a 3rd party. Getting there from LaGuardia was super easy, we used one of the private chauffeur services that are available at the hotel to get back to the airport for our trip home. We felt safe the entire time and had no issues. The complimentary breakfast had many different options available.

My wife and I traveled to NYC to see the July 4th fireworks display. We enjoyed our stay, visiting Central Park, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall and many other famous landmarks. The city is surprisingly clean and the people are helpful and friendly. It is expensive, as we expected, but it is the modern day Roman Empire. I searched several times on Google and Google maps for viewing areas for fireworks display. Neither platform could answer my query and unfortunately we never got to see the fireworks. Google certainly has its limitations, but I also feel NYC could do a better job of informing the public of what to expect and where to find it.

Went over for a family wedding upstate, so stayed 1 week in NY en route. Lots of interesting things to see, but it coincided with a heatwave - not a great time to be in the City. It was far too hot to be out all day (38C+), even for the natives! Found everything very expensive - got the feeling most people only wanted to make money from you or rip you off - or both! Not one of my most enjoyable holidays.

New York is an exhilarating mix of energy, diversity, and ambition. You’ll find world-class food, culture, and art around every corner, but also crowds, high prices, and constant noise. It’s a city that never stops—and doesn’t let you, either.

Our itinerary for 3 days (not full, lay-overs) included these walks: through SOHO, which was too crowded for me (but it was a Sunday, so maybe better on the days) , through Chelsea, which was great to walk in, calm enough for New York, through Broadway, which is very nice with what they did with it, Through Central Park, through Times Square. We visited 3 museums in 3 days, loved all 3: The tenement museum The Met Museum The Jewish museum Metro is super easy, we just paid with our Visa card. We ate at Chelsea Market, at Miznon. We love that food, but there are many options; we usually try to eat at markets.

Right on the doorstep of Times Square the Casablanca Hotel is great for walking around midtown Manhattan and within easy walking distance of Grand Central station so you can get the train or the subway to JFK. The room was super quiet for being this close to Times Square, and we didn't hear a peep out of any of the other residents either, a rare thing these days. The staff are superb and were on hand to help out with luggage, or call you a cab, or even loan you an umbrella - five stars for the staff.

The location is fantastic in Midtown Manhattan. Just a short walk to Bryant Park, Grand Central Station, Times Square, etc. Shops, restaurants and subway stations are just a few minutes walk. The area is very safe. The room was clean and spacious (I traveled with my spouse and two teen kids - 15 and 13 years old). The breakfast was great. We also went on two free walking tours offered by the Iroquois hotel and those were very informative and well delivered.

The hotel is in the best location I've stayed in yet in New York. It's only a short walk from all major attractions - Times square, Bryant Park, Madison square garden and the summit one. The hotel staff were great couldn't do enough for us. Room was small but same as higher priced hotel rooms in New York. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay again.
